Plashet School, Seen is an exciting body of work that documents the story of Plashet School, in Newham, and the incredible women that fill its space. With an incredibly unique history of creating an environment which serves the next generation of women to grow, aspire and be seen in, a first century of stories were seen and shared as, Plashet One Hundred. This collaboration illustrates this uniqueness by using the very principle at the core of Seen the Stories and the second part of the project aims to share so much more.
Seen Inside Out takes the very essence of Seen the Stories into spaces of community, business, teams and more, each with a desire to be seen. Such spaces will be turned inside out, the Seen the Stories’ way.
By listening to and documenting each individual who forms part of a space, the magic of being seen and heard, tells the collective story. This results in a body of work through photography, video and written commentary, that allows the audience outside, to see you and your community, from the inside.
Seen, The Hundreds - what began with a small list of people, has grown into both a storytelling tool and a visual archive of hundreds of stories. As one century ends, and the third began this month, the list of future stories now sits over five hundred.
